FocusForward is a comprehensive budget planning tool designed specifically for local governments. The program allows municipalities to accurately forecast revenues and expenditures based upon historic data, and uses these forecasts to provide a context for new revenues, expenditures, and capital projects.

FocusForward calculates rates of change for each item of revenue and expenditure, and allows users to fine-tune these rates to reflect local expectations. The program also allows the incorporation of new revenues, new expenditures, and capital projects, which can be funded using either PAYGO or debt. FocusForward allows for instantaneous comparison of "what-if" scenarios, and allows managers to weigh the implications of possible fiscal outcomes.
